Go on, admit it. You’ve been wondering what goes into making our delicious Hawkstone lager, haven’t you? Imagine, if you will, a magical place where we bring together the hard-work of British farming with the best ingredients and masterful crafting. And then we brew up a storm.
"F*** me, that's good." - Jeremy Clarkson
It's a slow process and it takes a lot of hard work. We plant the barley, cajole it, and protect it from too much rain and sun. When it's finally ready for harvest, that takes a long time too.
It involves a lot of intensive work where we end up covered in layers of dust, hair looking like we've been struck by lightning or been rubbing a balloon. We end up with frayed nerves, bad tempers and even worse hair.
And then the magic starts
And then come the malting and the hops. Clever, clever hops. All overseen by not just good craftsmen, absolute masters in their field. Master crafters who wait patiently as the magic happens and Hawkstone is born.
It’s the result of a lot of love and passion from loads of different people. And it’s worth it. You can taste it in every drop. That’s why you can’t get enough of it – in fact, you love it so much that we can’t keep up with the demand. That’s why we’ve teamed up with our mates at C&C (also master craftsmen) to help us make even more for you.
But don’t take our word for it, here’s the big man himself to tell you exactly what makes Hawkstone lager so hard to make and so easy to drink.
