Red Brew 6.2: how we made our autumn brew

This year has been rough for us and farmers everywhere with seemingly endless rain for months and some mixed harvest yields. So, we wanted to craft a beer that nodded to all the amazing stuff farmers do to keep the crops growing. And Rick’s just created another masterpiece in the process: Red Brew 6.2.

Rouge Britannia

Red Brew 6.2 is inspired by farmers up and down the UK and the back-breaking, sweaty work they do every single day.

If you tried our Majestic beer a few months back, you’ll love this one. It’s made of similarly strong stuff – just like British farmers – with 6.2% ABV. And the taste is something special. Think rich, malty undertones that settle into a hint of subtly sweet caramel biscuit. Rick used Hersbrucker hops to give it just a hint of fruitiness too. It’s unbelievably tasty.

Then there’s the colour. Rick wanted to capture that feeling of a gloriously British autumn, so he used rye crystal to give it a rich red colour. It’s the perfect beer to drink as the days get shorter. And it's so delicious that Jeremy gave a sweary and glowing review.
