Ever on the hunt for ways to make a profit from his Gloucestershire farm, Jeremy Clarkson, 64, decided to use his spring barley to make his own lager in the second series of his TV show about his misadventures running Diddly Squat Farm.
The brand, which takes its name from a nearby neolithic standing stone, generated sales of £7.8 million in the year to March. It caters for cider fans too, with Hawkstone Cider fronted by Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm.
